Functional nutrition

Functional Nutrition focuses on the patient, not the disease. It embraces how each person is unique and the we are all biochemically individual. Functional Nutrition focuses on preventative care to find the root causes of problem, not just "covering up" the symptoms. It looks at the interwoven connections of  physiological factors including hormones, genes, diet, lifestyle, environmental toxins, digestion and more.

Nutrition is a major component as you aren't just what you eat, but the result of how your body processes what you eat.
